Hwayobi…Where art thou ?

On 26 Feb, Yobi appeared on SBS “Intimate Note” with Lynn, a ballad singer who is one of her good friends. We’ve been scouting for the video, hopefully, it will surface soon. Article here.

A recent article reviewed on the current chart topping songs and Hwayobi’s, “Late Love” for “Ob & Gyn” drama OST has been receiving much attention and is ranked amongst the Top 25 songs. Article here.

Besides the news above, there have been news on Yobi’s upcoming “Master Class” concert that will be held on 20 Mar. This is a series of concerts by outstanding artistes which will start from 12 to 20 March 2010.  Article here.

Yet to hear of any updates of her comeback and we are looking forward to it.  Yobi ssi fighting !!! You’ve been missed lots.

Hwayobi's sexy v-line…

Singer Hwayobi (Park Lae-ah) shows off her v-line face.She posted up a new photo on her minihompy on 21st February in a post entitled ‘Paris Girl’ ( She actually entitled this mobile upload as “Paris Grill” which  is a European restaurant in Seoul, it seemed.

She was seen with long hair and a sharp v-line face. Having lost weight, Hwayobi’s facial features have seen even more sharp and prominent. Netizens who have seen the photos commented, “You lost weight”, “Pretty”, “Surprised” etc.

Meanwhile, Hwayobi is recently featured in Untouchable’s minialbum released on 4th February. She has been going with Untouchable member Sleepy since December 2008.

I am pretty surprise to see that Hwayobi’s recent pic popping up in couples of the Kpop e-zines.  Indeed, it has been a long while for her news to be featured although she has been back in the scene with few drama OSTs. It is rather nice to see that her “story” is actually featured in these kpop e-zines.  Though, I hope that her music and her new album will get such attention and featuring too in their e-zine.

In her recent pic she reminds me of how she looked in 2008 when she was promoting her 6th album. Then, she lost weight after her vocal cord surgery due to the recovering process. We’ll be waiting for your 7th album Yobi ssi…take care of your health too !

Our dear lady, Hwayobi is welcoming 2010 graciously, indeed and has been working hard non-stop. She will be performing at a live concert titled, “March Masterpiece Master Class“.  Can we ever dream for Yobi to perform near our regions ?

She will perform her greatest hits from the year 2000. From her 1st album which includes her debut hit Lie, as well as Tears, Something Like That, How Are You, Whenever, Round and Round, Half, Men Don’t Know, Counting The Number Of Kisses With You, she will also perform the duet “Ghost” with Go Yoo Jin that fans will love.

Happy 28th Birthday!…& a surprise!

Our dear Hwayobi will be a year older on 11 February and she will be celebrating her birthday with her lucky fans in Korea since she will be having a fan meeting tomorrow. In Korean age, Yobi is 29 years old as in Korea you are 1 yr old when you are born and you become 1 yr older on New Year’s. I’ve posted the well- wishes below at Yobi’s fan cafe with hope that who knows one day Yobi may sneak a peek here and leave us a love note…Maybe. Have you done your love bits here ?

On another brighter note, Yobi has another surprise gift for us. She has participated in the OST for a new Korean drama titled “Ob & Gyn”. The first part of the OST was sang by K.Will and Yobi has participated in the part 2 of the OST with a song titled,  Late love/ 늦은사랑.  This pleasant gift will be released on 16 February 2010.  Credit: Newsnate/ Crazsri

Last April 2009, Yobi was appointed as the ambassador for a Youth corp programme by World Vision called “Happy Friends”. This programme was developed to encourage more young individuals to be interested in social issues. Since her appointment as “Happy Friends” ambassador she has been active in supporting their volunteering activities. But the recent community service trip to Vietnam was her first overseas participation with World Vision.

For this trip, the team were involved in building a bicycle parking lot for the students of a village elementary school. Dear Yobi was involved in the labour work and mural paintings. She had posted in her cyworld that although it was a short trip but the experiences were very enriching. She seems to have plans to actively participate in more future activities.  Keep up the “HEART” work Yobi ssi !
