This song is featured as one of the OST for the new Korean drama, “Ob & Gyn”. It will be released on 16 February 2010. Can’t wait to hear the full song as her voice is powerful in its rawness.
Our dear Hwayobi will be a year older on 11 February and she will be celebrating her birthday with her lucky fans in Korea since she will be having a fan meeting tomorrow. In Korean age, Yobi is 29 years old as in Korea you are 1 yr old when you are born and you become 1 yr older on New Year’s. I’ve posted the well- wishes below at Yobi’s fan cafe with hope that who knows one day Yobi may sneak a peek here and leave us a love note…Maybe. Have you done your love bits here ?
On another brighter note, Yobi has another surprise gift for us. She has participated in the OST for a new Korean drama titled “Ob & Gyn”. The first part of the OST was sang by K.Will and Yobi has participated in the part 2 of the OST with a song titled, Late love/ 늦은사랑. This pleasant gift will be released on 16 February 2010. This song is from Yobi’s 1st album “My All” which was released in 2000. It’s a beautiful bonus track which featured King of Ballads “Park Hyo Shin”. This song was also featured in the OST of the K-drama 신귀공자/ Mr. Duke in 2000.

This song is from Yobi’s 4th album “Soul Saver” which was released in 2004. A sultry mellow song which featured one of the best Korean R&B group, Soulstar.
From her duets with Park Hyo Shin, Naul (Brown Eyes Soul), KCM, Hwanhee (Fly to the sky) and many other remarkable male singers, she has never failed to amaze us with the matching and wonderful harmonization in her duets. This shows that her voice’s flexibility is just outstanding, as in every songs she sang it brings out varied voice characteristics yet her voice’s sultry essence is still present.
February is here and we are indeed waiting patiently for her comeback which will probably be this month as she has announced during her Dec concert…Yobi ssi fighting !!!

These photos were probably taken in 2002, during the promotion of her 2nd album, “Nineteen plus one” . Since she looked dainty and as beautiful and quite similar like how she looked in the MV below for the song “Hardship” which was composed by dear Hwayobi.
The more you dig into her past, the more gems you will find and it seems to reach no end to this treasure hunt. Especially treasured findings on her talents beyond words and the wisdom that prevails in every verse that she wrote in her songs.

This is a fanmade video and not the official MV. This song is from Yobi’s 3rd album. “Because I Love You” which was released in 2002. Lyrics and composed by Dear Hwayobi. She was probably about 20 years old when she wrote this beautiful and wise piece. It portrays how a person lives without hate but to appreciate and reminisce whatever painful memories as a reason to learn and live on. Her lyrics reminds me of this beautiful piece of wisdom titled. ” A Reason, a Season, or a life time. You can read it here. A part of it says ” People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.”. Yobi’s song does depict this piece of wisdom. With her sultry vocal … Her harmony is so pure and her voice so sweet that it melts your soul.
